Dan and Scotty put in my new kitchen floor. It looks great! It really brightens up the room. The cat can't get enough of it. He's been batting a toy mouse around in there for hours now. Animals are so funny.
I went to Pat Catans today and got some more supplies for my new stenciling hobby. I bought some paints, paint dishes, and an exacto knife that had a really small blade on it(I have 2 of them already, but for some reason I thought one with a tiny blade might come in handy),and I got some glitter glaze(I'm hoping that looks nice on shirts).
While I was there I also got a 10x14 piece of canvas. I've been wanting to put a piece of framed art in Leonardo's room. I've been flip flopping around with the idea since before he was born. I have a nice picture frame that I can paint green to match the trim in his room. At one time I was going to put a picture of the Mona Lisa in it(Leonardo Davinci), but I ultimately decided that she might frighten small children. Then I was going to put a large and colorful world map in it, and decided it didn't match the decor in the room. Then my final and best idea yet was for Dan's mom to paint a picture of a lion to put in it(Leonardo means lion in Italian). She is a very skilled artist. Well, I asked her to do that before Leonardo was born. I brought it up enough times to be annoying and it's now almost a year later and I still don't have a lion painting for his room. So I found a cool Lion stencil and I'm just going to make it my damned self. LOL! I also want to put his name on it and write out the definition of his name. Like the way they do those plaques at the fair. It should be fun. Here's the stencil....

I also bought myself a grey tshirt at Target today to put this stencil on with Leonardo's name in the heart:

And I bought a little brown tshirt to make a Kurt Cobain tshirt for Leonardo. I want to put the lyrics "Come as you are" or something like that on the back:

I guess all my dedication to school is paying off so far. I got A's on my first two exams. Today I got back my Statistics exam. I was really excited about it because I knew the material really well and I was hoping not to miss any. Before the teacher passed them back, she wrote down everybody's scores on the board(without names of course) and made a little frequency distribution chart out of them, just to be "teaching" I guess. Then she went around the room and passed them out. When she called my name she stopped in front of me before she handed it to me. Held the test back and smiled at me. Then handed it to me. I got 100%. On top of that I was the only one in the class who did. That was nice. Then when I went to pick up Leonardo from my mom's house my mom was all super excited about the test and wanted to hang it on the fridge. It felt nice to have someone give me a little positive reinforcement. Danny doesn't give a crap if I pass or fail. He never even asks. I would take a picture of the test just to give you a visual, but of course my mom has it. LOL! Not that I've never had an A before. It's just nice to think about for today. That and I'm all about visual aids. I'm going to get ridiculous with them at some point here. Taking pictures of my fingers typing or some odd shit. LOL!
Here's a pic of Leonardo with his cousins. It's from the Heart Walk on Saturday. See them sporting my own handy work. :)

Well, I think that's all I've got for this evening. Enjoy!

Yay! I check Nikki's and Sarah's blogs like 15 times a day. I always want to check and see if they replied back to my comments. There has to be an easier way. LOL! Especially since Sarah can see when I check hers and she probably thinks I'm half retarded. LOL! Thanks for the compliment. You are too. I'm looking forward to you going back to school for your degree. I know you'll do good.
Ok, so I take the hint that I need to leave you a comment? :)
So about the kitchen floor.. next year when we get our refund, do you think Dan would help John do ours? My floor is gross and I have been dying to have a pretty one.
I think you are crafty enough for both of us! Geez Louise! I love that heart design. It's def. an awesome tattoo idea.
Congrats on the school success! John is of course the same way. He wouldn't know if I flunked out. Or even what class I'm in at the moment.
Ok, that's all I have. Your blog is a lot of pressure ;)
Don't worry, I understand that you're not on here all the time anymore. It's all good friend!
Oh yeah, and yes, Dan will help you I am sure. As long as there's some beer in it for him. LOL! Although from what I could tell, he wasn't doing much of the work. LOL!
Dang! You should. LOL! Cause now I want to know what you said.
Ok...here it is Again!! LOL! I can't wait to see your kitchen floor! I want a new one so bad! Mine always looks dirty even when it's clean! I sware we aren't copying off of you but we have wanted that wood flooring for a long time and that is probably what we will get too! So I see you saw the picture I put up last night, lol. Taryn drove by yesterday when I was getting Madison off the bus and she had just got the pictures developed. She said you wanted some copies and for her to get a disc. So she gave the disc to me and told me to give it to you after I got the one picture I wanted. I figured you would see the pic after I posted it and just take it from there. That is probably the only one you would want the rest are of Ty and them. If you do though I have the disc so just let me know. The shirts look so good on everyone! :) I really like the new stencils you bought. That lion is really neat looking. I really like the other one too. Like Erin said it would make an awesome tattoo! I think I want to get that with my kids names in it! So save that for me! I wouldn't mind a t-shirt either, LOL! We could have matching t-shirts to go with our matching sweaters! hahaha! Told you this was a long one..and i'm not done yet! Dj took me to Olive Garden and to the mall last night. He ended up FINALLY buying me a wedding band to go with my ring! It looks pretty much like yours, maybe a little different. I love it though! Shocked the shit out of me! LOL!
oh yeah, btw, I have an orange shirt that I was going to stencil a lion on! lol. My lion stencil is a little different, though. Oh yeah, and nice kurt cobain stencil ya got there, I wonder where you found that one? lol.
The floor is nice. And I know a hundred people who have it, so you wouldn't be copying. :) Dan had to go all the way up to Cleveland and get it because it was a really really good price up there. Almost half of what it is anywhere around here. It's not completely done yet. They have to put up molding around the edges and put a splash board up around the counters. That's it though.
No need to see the other pics if me or the baby aren't in them. I thought they took a big group one.
And actually, that pic of the hearts is one that I picked out to get a tattoo of. We have the same taste. I'm too chicken to do it though. I wanted to get it between my shoulder blades. And I want it to have a few big hearts instead of one, so I can put Dan's name in one.
That is awesome that he got you a band. I can't wait to see it. You deserve it.
Sarah, I got that stencil from a link that was on craftster. Actually I wasn't even looking for that one, I was just looking for ideas and I came across that one. I saved a bunch of other ones too from that same link. They had some cool ones. Like the Hannibal one. I liked that one better than the one I had. I thought it might have been the same one you were talking about. But I didn't think you would care if I used it too. After all, I did come up with the idea also, just not the same stencil. I thought it would be cute as a baby tee. Don't you think?
We're ready for our update! LOL
