Today will end up being a tiresome day.
So last night I went out with my girls: Amanda P, Amanda D, Sarah, Erin. Also Amanda's husband went and this guy Josh who didn't really come with any of us. He just wanted a ride up there to see the show. I had a blast! I thought the comics did a really good job. Also I had my friends there to keep me entertained.
So guys, I've said this before to some of you and I want you're opinion on the matter. It's been a dream of mine to do stand up comedy. Whenever I go see comics perform, or watch them on TV, I'm always sitting there thinking to myself how fun it would be to do that. I sit there thinking of good material to use and crap like that. Then after shows I always end up having the same conversations with the comics like "How'd you get started?" and stuff.
Well, they have amateur night on Tuesdays at the Funny Stop and I'm so tempted to just effin do it. But maybe I'm the only one who thinks I'm funny. So here's my question to all of you....
1. Do you think I could do it?
2. If yes, then can you think of any conversations or moments we've shared where I was really funny so I can try to write material from that.
Now be honest people. If you really feel that my brand of humor is something better left amongst my forgiving friends then tell me. I'd rather not make an ass of myself. Although really, it's just amateur night. What's the worst that could happen? People don't laugh? Well, I'm sure I could deal with that. And yeah, I could use material so give me some ideas people.

Good suggestion. I've been jotting down material all day on a piece of paper. So any little thing would help me. I really want my stuff to be original. Even if it was just a small thing I said, I can probably stretch that out into something longer or whatever.
I think I'm going to do it. I mean really, what have I got to lose. If I don't do it I'll regret it reall bad.
And actually I read the paper wrong, it's a contest. And you have to make it to finals and all that good shit. So I think that makes it all the more exciting and appealing to me.
i really do think its a good idea. i think you would do great at it! and even if you dont what the hell you gave it a shot! right? right! i duno if you know who lisa lampenelle (i think i spelt that wrong) but she is one funny bitch! check her out. i think your humor reminds me of hers.

The only thing I have thought of so far is the whole Screamfest experience. And maybe your thoughts on reality shows..

I messaged Mike Bobbit, that comedian from the other night on myspace. I asked him how he gets his material and he said just from everyday stuff. He also suggested 2 books that I should buy that will help me a lot. I think I'm going to get one. I really want to do this. And just get it out of my system. Promise you will come and cheer me on. Same goes for everyone else. If I get a big enough fan section nobody will be there not to laugh. LOL!!!
I can't promise you that! I work at the butt crack of dawn everyday but Saturday. But I'll do my best.
